# What Information You Need to Start Your Restoration

> Find out exactly what details to have on hand before you kick off a website restoration with Wayback Revive — and what you can leave out.

Getting started with Wayback Revive is straightforward. You only need a small amount of accurate information — no technical background or saved files required. Here is a breakdown of what to have ready, what is helpful but optional, and what you can skip entirely.

## Required information

You must provide these three things to begin your restoration:

    A working email address so the team can send updates and deliver your restored site.

## Optional but helpful

These details are not required, but they help the team work faster and produce a more accurate result:

* **Old hosting details** — if you still have access to your previous hosting account or remember the provider
* **Sitemap or page list** — a list of URLs or pages you want prioritized in the restoration
* **Reference screenshots or links** — any saved screenshots or cached links showing how the site used to look

## What you do not need
